College in Claremont, California.
He is author of several books on political philosophy, including Heidegger’s
Being and Time and the Possibility of Political Philosophy (Cornell University Press,
1981) and Plato’s Political Philosophy (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2010), and
many articles, including “Nietzsche and Political Science: The Problem of Politics,”
“Heidegger’s Nietzsche (Part I),” “Heidegger’s Nietzsche (Part II),” “Strauss’s Laws,
Government Practice and the School of Strauss,” and “Leo Strauss’s Understanding of
Modernity.”
