最近恰好也在看Two Concept of Liberty,中译本此处译得很含糊,原文应当是 The world that we encounter in ordinary experience is one in which we are faced with choices between ends equally ultimate, and claims equally absolute, the realization of some of which must inevitably involve the sacrifice of others.
在这句话之后就有柏林的一个解释,我读的文本来自 Liberty, Henry Hardy (ed.), p213-214,不知DKY兄的难解来自引文有误还是其他原因?
只是引文方面的功夫,柏林的书读得不够深入不敢妄断,权当抛砖引玉了吧。
